TED est un événement annuel où les plus grands talents internationaux sont invités à partager leurs passions.
«TED» signifie Technology, Entertainment, Design - trois grands domaines, qui, ensemble,
façonnent notre avenir. Mais l’événement ne s’arrête pas là et présente des idées quelle que soit la discipline.
Cette conférence inspirante de 4 jours rassemble des participants -PDG, scientifiques, créateurs, philanthropes - presque aussi extraordinaire que les intervenants (dont Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck et Bono).TED a été créé à Monterey, en Californie, en 1984. En 2001, la Fondation de Chris Anderson a racheté TED à son fondateur, Richard Saul Wurman. Ces dernières années, TED a souhaité s’ouvrir et propose une conférence internationale, TEDGlobal ; ainsi que plusieurs initiatives médiatiques, telles que les TED Talks et TED.com ainsi que le TED Prize.

Qu’est-ce que TEDx?
Face à son succès, TED a voulu permettre à la communauté élargie de ses fans de diffuser l’esprit TED autour du monde. Le programme TEDx a été créé pour cela: continuer à partager des idées et notre passion de la connaissance. Le x signifie qu’il s’agit d’événements qui sont organisés indépendamment tout en respectant un certain nombre de critères définis par TED.
About TEDx, x=independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event.
